Dunbar returns in RIDLEY S2

Adrian Dunbar is on his way back into his retired detective inspector boots as Alex Ridley for a second season of crime-solving detective drama RIDLEY. ITV has confirmed that the LINE OF DUTY star, best known as Superintendent Ted Hastings in the BBC’s police corruption drama, is set to step into his crime consulting role once again for the next instalment. RIDLEY season 1 racked up 7.1 million viewers when it first landed and maintained around 6.3 million viewers going forward. It was named ITV’s fourth biggest drama launch of 2022.

LINE OF DUTY star Adrian Dunbar was spotted filming for a new ITV series in Enniskillen this week ahead of his appearance in another Channel 5 series later this month. The Enniskillen native returned to his roots with a visit to the Killyhevlin Lakeside Hotel where he was revealed to be filming for upcoming ITV series DNA JOURNEY, where famous faces delve into their family history. ADRIAN DUNBAR MY IRELAND will see the actor travelling to some of his favourite locations across the island, where viewers will get a ‘rare glimpse’ into his childhood in Enniskillen.

Adrian Dunbar in RIDLEY

LINE OF DUTY actor Adrian Dunbar is back with a new detective drama. The Northern Irish actor, 64, has delighted fans with news that he is returning to his detective roots after they fell in love with him as the BBC show’s Superintendent Ted Hastings. Dunbar is fronting ITV’s new crime drama as the show’s title character retired Detective Inspector Ridley.

Dunbar directs Beckett

The star who comes from County Fermanagh in Northern Ireland is also a writer and is well known for his stage roles. Dunbar to mark 50th Bloody Sunday anniversary

Adrian Dunbar is to lead a commemorative event to mark the 50th anniversary of the Bloody Sunday killings in Derry. The LINE OF DUTY actor will host a weekend of talks, walks and reflections evoking what Tony Doherty described as the years “beyond the silence” from the army, police and Westminster that families faced after the killing of 13 innocent civilians by British soldiers in 1972.
