ONCE UPON A TIME IN NORTHERN IRELAND’s Bafta glory

Once Upon a Time in Northern Ireland

BBC produced Troubles-era documentary ONCE UPON A TIME IN NORTHERN IRELAND has snaffled up two gongs at last night’s BAFTAS award ceremony. The 2023 miniseries was directed by James Bluemel and Northern Irish Sian McIlwaineas as a follow-up to Bluemel’s 2020 series ONCE UPON A TIME IN NORTHERN IRAQ. The series consists of five episodes that feature interviews with members of Republican and Loyalist paramilitaries, members of the British Army who served in Northern Ireland, along with others caught up in the conflict.
