RTÉ’s hit crime drama KIN has begun airing on the BBC following the show’s huge success in Ireland. Written and created by Peter McKenna and co-created by Ciarán Donnelly, Kin follows a war between a small crime family and a huge international cartel, which is sparked by the murder of a young boy, and stars Ciarán Hinds, Aiden Gillen, and Charlie Cox. The series has clocked up more than four million lifetime streams in Ireland, with the second season averaging a 40 per cent audience share in its Sunday-night slot, and its finale becoming the most-viewed programme of the year, outside of sport.
