Taika Waititi’s latest venture, the 2023 sports drama/comedy NEXT GOAL WINS starring THE KILLER‘s Michael Fassbender, is gearing up for its online release on Jan 16th. The film, based on a 2014 documentary of the same name, unfolds the story of a Dutch-American soccer coach attempting to transform the American Samoa national team, considered one of the weakest in the world. The film is set to be available for purchase online through digital platforms such as Google Play, Amazon, and Apple TV.

James Martin earns MBE

James Martin

AN IRISH GOODBYE‘s Oscar winner James Martin “cried his eyes out” after learning he was to be made an MBE in the New Year Honours List. The Belfast actor is one of more than 80 locals recognised by the King. James added that he wanted to continue to inspire people with learning difficulties and entered the Guinness Book of World Records as the first actor with Down’s syndrome to star in a film which won an Oscar, Bafta and Ifta.
