Oscar nominee Colin Farrell returns from THE BATMAN as Oz, bringing us his full transformation into the infamous DC Comics villain who gives Batman quite a fright. SUGAR star Colin Farrell has joined Tilda Swinton in the Netflix film THE BALLAD OF A SMALL PLAYER. The story follows a high-stakes gambler who decides to lay low in Macau after his past and debts catch up with him. Along the way he encounters a kindred spirit who might just hold the key to his salvation. Later this year, Farrell has the anticipated Batman Max series THE PENGUIN bowing in which he reprises his role as Gotham City’s most infamous gangster.

SUGAR the new Apple TV+ mystery series starring Colin Farrell, understands the moody appeal of the City of Angels. The Southern Californian setting was one of the primary factors that attracted the BANSHEES OF INISHERIN star to the series. Farrell thinks L.A. is the perfect setting for a character like Sugar to explore, since he describes the detective as “a keen observer of human behavior.” “There’s nowhere really more fascinating in so many different ways in the world than this city,” Farrell notes. “It’s so kaleidoscopic.” SUGAR premieres Friday, April 5, on Apple TV+.

SUGAR Star Colin Farrell returns to Gotham City as Oz Cobb, aka Oswald Cobblepot, in the trailer for THE PENGUIN a spinoff series of THE BATMAN coming this fall to Max. “The Penguin” takes place immediately following the events of DC’s 2022 blockbuster, tracing Cobblepot’s rise to power in the Gotham underworld as he becomes one of the most prominent villains in the “Batman” universe. Farrell gives a classic gangster monologue throughout the trailer, which slowly ramps up the violence and gunfights in Gotham City’s seedy underground.
