O’Connor was decades ahead of her time and we just weren’t ready for her.

Hot Docs Review: MILLION DOLLAR PIGEONS

Tourism Ireland’s IRELAND

The rollout of IRELAND, the new film narrated by Liam Neeson, is a reminder that, after the many hardships of the pandemic, Ireland is open to visitors once again. the film follows writer Manchán Magan in the company of four Irish teenagers as they crisscross Ireland to visit some of the most iconic tourism spots on the island.

Gleeson in BURREN: HEART OF STONE

An Irish documentary narrated by Brendan Gleeson telling the story of the Burren region in County Clare is set to air on US television this month. BURREN: HEART OF STONE presents new evidence of human activity in Ireland 20,000 years earlier than previously thought. The two-part documentary, which attracted more than one million viewers when it aired in Ireland, will treat audiences to a visually impressive and thought-provoking story about the resilience and beauty of the famous Irish landscape.

NOTHING COMPARES Review

In NOTHING COMPARES, Kathryn Ferguson’s incisive and poignant documentary about the life and career of Sinéad O’Connor, we see the image that was chosen in 1987 for the cover of O’Connor’s first album, “The Lion and the Cobra,” made when she was 20 years old and pregnant: an extraordinary photograph of Sinéad in mid-scream. O’Connor has made seven albums since then and toured extensively, but in terms of the fame by which the pop stratosphere defines itself, Sinéad O’Connor was a fire that went out too fast. NOTHING COMPARES makes you see it’s still burning.
