WICKED LITTLE LETTERS star Jessie Buckley will soon grace our screens in the upcoming THE BRIDE. Directed by Maggie Gyllenhaal, and unlike most previous versions of the Frankenstein story, the film is set in 1930s Chicago, with Jessie Buckley taking on the titular role and Christian Bale playing the monster. By all accounts, this project has a very “musical” feel to it and will release on Sep 26 2025.

Jessie Buckley in BRIDE!

Jessie Buckley

Jessie Buckley will re-unite with her THE LOST DAUGHTER director, Maggie Gyllenhaal, in a remake of THE BRIDE OF FRANKENSTEIN. Warner Brothers will release Gyllenhaal’s film on October 3rd, 2025. Buckley is joined by Christian Bale, Peter Sarsgaard, Annette Bening and Penelope Cruz. Buckley can currently be seen in Apple TV+ and Christos Nikou’s Sci-Fi Romance FINGERNAILS opposite Riz Ahmed, and she will reunite with Olivia Colman in the upcoming comedy-drama WICKED LITTLE LETTERS.
