Jamie Dornan has said the new season of hit thriller THE TOURIST, which airs on New Year’s Day, is like “a Tourism Ireland advert” for how it showcases the Emerald Isle. The filming for the second series took place in Ireland and viewers will get a chance to see the results early next week. The second series will focus on Elliot and Probationary Constable Helen Chambers (Danielle Macdonald) as they continue to hunt for answers relating to his identity. In doing so they are forced to face the dangerous consequences of his past actions.

BRIDGERTON Season 3 Release Date

Netflix has confirmed that new season of BRIDGERTON will be split into two four-episode parts, with Part One premiering on 16 May 2024, followed by Part Two on 13 June. According to the official synopsis for the new season, BRIDGERTON is back for its third season and finds Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan) has finally given up on her long-held crush on Colin Bridgerton (Luke Newton) after hearing his disparaging words about her last season.

A fine story-teller and a terrific frontman and vocalist, he mined those twin gifts to considerable effect, on stage and off. A new documentary, CLOCH LE CARN: CHRISTY DIGNAM, showcases the singer’s extraordinary life and talent and airs Wednesday December 27th on RTE One. His wife Kathryn and daughter Kiera play tribute to him, while fellow musician Fiachna Ó Braonáin and former RTÉ Arts Correspondent Sinéad Crowley honour his legacy with others inspired by his musical talent.

BELFAST star Jamie Dornan returns to the small screen in the action-packed Season Two of THE TOURIST. In Season 2, Elliot and his ally Helen (Danielle Macdonald) travel to Ireland to find answers about Elliot’s identity, but instead, they are forced to face the dangerous consequences of his past actions. The second season will debut exactly two years after the first arrived on our screens, with the first episode airing at 9pm on 1st January 2024 on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.

Ireland’s Golden Globe nominations

Irish actors Barry Keoghan, Cillian Murphy and Andrew Scott have all been nominated for a Golden Globe. Keoghan is nominated for his performance in SALTBURN, Murphy for his role in OPPENHEIMER and Scott for his lead role in ALL OF US STRANGERS in which he stars alongside fellow Irishman Paul Mescal. The 81st Golden Globe Awards will take place January 7, 2024, at the Beverly Hilton, its home since 1961.
