Charlie Murphy’s new Netflix role

Irish actress Charlie Murphy is set to star in a new show on Netflix which centres around a dangerous love triangle. The LOVE/HATE star will play the role of Anna Barton, who embarks on a secret affair with her soon to be father-in-law, William, played by Richard Armitage. The three-part series is an adaptation of the 1991 novella by the same name from late author Josephine Hart, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Graham Norton’s HOLDING

HOLDING, a new 4-part tv show based on the book by chat-show host Graham Norton, airs this week. Human remains are discovered in a small, quiet village in West Cork, Ireland, while local builders are demolishing a farmhouse that belonged to the Burke family. It seems that the villagers – including the fiancee jilted at the altar by Tommy, the son of the house, as well as the woman he was seeing on the side – now have an answer as to how, if not precisely why, he disappeared on his wedding eve 20 years ago.

Farrell in PENGUIN spin-off series

Castleknock’s own, Colin Farrell, who is starring in THE BATMAN, will portray the DC Comics villain The Penguin in a limited spin-off series for the US streaming service HBO Max. As well as starring in the TV series, Farrell will also serve as an executive producer, alongside Matt Reeves. The Penguin is one of the most famous villains from the Batman comics and the character is known for his top hat, monocle, and multiple lethal umbrellas.
