The Ballymena native sat down with THE LATE SHOW host Stephen Colbert to discuss his new film, IN THE LAND OF SAINTS AND SINNERS, which hits theatres Friday Mar 29. The Northern Ireland thriller also stars Irish acting talent Ciaran Hinds, Kelly Condon and Jack Gleeson.

A plethora of Irish stars join Liam Neeson in the upcoming Northern Ireland drama IN THE LAND OF SAINTS AND SINNERS. Ciaran Hinds, Kelly Condon and Jack Gleeson all star in the film, released March 29. Hoping to leave his dark past behind him, former assassin Finbar Murphy (Neeson) leads a quiet life in a coastal Irish town, far from the political violence that grips the rest of the country. When menacing terrorists show up, Finbar soon discovers that one of them has been abusing a local girl. Drawn into an increasingly vicious game of cat and mouse, he must choose between exposing his secret identity and defending his friends and neighbors.

Liam Neeson for NAKED GUN reboot

The upcoming Liam Neeson-led reboot of the iconic 1988 comedy film, THE NAKED GUN: FROM THE FILES OF POLICE SQUAD, is finally moving forward. Paramount Pictures has revealed that the upcoming reboot has secured a premiere date in July 2025. The film, which will be co-produced by Seth MacFarlane and Erica Huggins via Fuzzy Door, is set for release on July 18 next year, per Variety. THE LONELY ISLAND member Akiva Schaffer, who is set to direct the reboot. In 2022, Neeson joked about joining the reboot, quipping that it could make or break his career: “I’ve been approached by Seth MacFarlane and Paramount Studios to maybe resurrect the Naked Gun films. It’ll either finish my career or bring it in another direction. I honestly don’t know.”

STAR WARS legend Liam Neeson is bound for Australia to film the sequel to 2021 Netflix feature THE ICE ROAD. The sequel follows Neeson’s character as he travels to Nepal to scatter the ashes of his brother on Mount Everest. The news was confirmed on social media by the small town of Walhalla in Victori, population 20. Walhalla is located in the Gippsland region, about 185km east of Melbourne. Filming will take place over three weeks next month in the rural settlement.
